Sisalation Facing Foil
All Sisalation® products in the Facing Foil End Use Category are specifically recommended for use as facing foils in applications such as industrial lagging and glasswool blanket facing following rigorous testing of their individual performance characteristics and superior quality features in these applications.
When used in conjunction with an airspace, it is an effective thermal insulation material because of the high reflectivity and low emissivity of its aluminium foil surfaces. It provides an effective barrier against moisture, vapours, wind, heat and dust penetration when overlapped. Particularly when sealed with Sisalation® Vapastop 883 self adhesive aluminium tape.
Sisalation® Facing Foil Extra Heavy Duty (470)
Sisalation® Facing Foil Extra Heavy Duty (470) is a premium Extra Heavy Duty reflective foil laminate recommended for use as a vapour barrier in the lining and lagging of air conditioning ducts, pipes and vessels.
Sisalation® Facing Foil Heavy Duty (450)
Sisalation® Facing Foil Heavy Duty (450) is a Heavy Duty reflective foil laminate recommended for use as a vapour barrier in the lagging of air conditioning ducts, pipes and vessels. It is also available perforated (450P) where acoustic performance criteria are required for internal duct insulation.
Sisalation® Facing Foil Heavy Duty Perforated (450P)
Sisalation® Facing Foil Heavy Duty Perforated (450P) is a double sided reflective foil laminate with 11% open space.
It is recommended for use as an acoustic insulation facing to prevent fibre erosion while maximising the acoustic absorption properties of the insulation.
Perforated Sisalation® (450P) is recommended for lining internal ductwork for high volume air conditioning (HVAC) systems, common to large commercial buildings, to reduce sound transmission of moving air and air-borne noise from room to room.
Sisalation® facing foil Heavy Duty Black Coated (444)
Sisalation® Facing Foil Heavy Duty Black Coated (444) is a Black Coated Heavy Duty reflective foil laminate recommended for use as a vapour barrier in the lagging of air conditioning ducts, pipes and vessels. It is also available perforated (454) where acoustic performance criteria are required for internal duct insulation.
It is also used to face building blanket for metal deck roofing and underpinning concrete roof slabs, particularly when a strong, tear resistant facing is required.
Sisalation® Facing Foil Heavy Duty Black Coated Perforated (454)
Sisalation® Facing Foil Heavy Duty Black Coated Perforated (454) is a single sided reflective foil laminate with 11% open space and the outer foil face finished with matt black ink.
It is recommended for use as a facing for FI 32 Semi-Rigid or FI 48 Rigid acoustic insulation where a discrete, dark visual appearance is desired for the underside of suspended concrete slabs that require reduced noise reverberation, particularly where chilled beam air cooling systems are installed above open perforated ceiling panels.
Perforated Sisalation® prevents fibre erosion while maximising the acoustic absorption properties of the insulation. Joints are recommended to be sealed with Sisalation® Black Coated self adhesive foil tape.

Sisalation® Facing Foil Medium Duty (430) is a Medium Duty reflective foil laminate recommended for use as a vapour barrier in the lining and lagging of air conditioning ducts, pipes and vessels. It is also available perforated (430P) where acoustic performance criteria are specified
Sisalation® Facing Foil Medium Duty White Film (430WF)
Sisalation® Facing Foil Medium Duty White Film (430WF) is a premium White coated foil laminate designed primarily to face building blanket insulation for use under metal roofs and in walls in sports stadiums, manufacturing and processing facilities and generally in areas where a decorative finish is required.
The use of a white polypropylene film coating provides excellent resistance to corrosive/chemical environments, ensuring quality and longevity. The white polymeric surface provides an effective barrier against moisture, vapours, wind and dust penetration when overlapped.
Sisalation® 440W, White tape is recommended to provide a vapour sealed join in humid environments such as indoor swimming pools.
The white polymeric face is not 100% UV stable and hence must not be installed where exposed to direct or indirect ultraviolet (UV) light. It also has a maximum service temperature of 65°C.
Sisalation® Facing Foil Medium Duty White Film Perforated (430WFP)
Sisalation® Facing Foil Medium Duty White Film Perforated (430WFP) is a premium White coated foil laminate with 11% open space. It is recommended for use as an acoustic insulation lining to prevent fibre erosion while maximising the acoustic absorption properties of the insulation. It is designed for use as a decorative finish for sound baffles to reduce reverberation of noise within buildings such sports stadiums, manufacturing and processing facilities.
Sisalation® 440WF Reinforced White tape is recommended to seal joins.
The white polymeric face is not 100% UV stable and hence must not be installed where exposed to direct or indirect ultraviolet (UV) light. It also has a maximum service temperature of 65°C.
